Westchester announces new Market View Series, "SITS companies – Perspectives in challenging times"
LONDON - August 31, 2008
Westchester Associates Limited today announces that it has commissioned a series of articles from industry-important players who speak of their experience and recommendations in relation to SITS (“Software and IT Services”) companies at the current time. Most company valuations and well down, raising debt is difficult for many, AIM has (too?) many small cap companies and investor confidence appears low. But some companies are still doing well and both public and private companies will still be looking for exits. Indeed some have recently achieved that with very healthy value obtained. Not all is doom and gloom. In our series “SITS companies – Perspectives in challenging times” we will publish pithy articles from many businesses including fund managers, private equity houses, independent analysts, entrepreneurs and others. Like Westchester’s overall focus, these articles will concern themselves primarily with companies in the SITS mid-market, say seven to fifty million pound valuation and shareholder value.
The first article “Don’t get stuck in the micro cap cul-de-sac” a look at the SITS sector on AIM and is written by the independent technology analyst Ian Spence and is published on September 1st with the second a week later, by a private equity house.
