Westchester AIM-quoted client Mediasurface Plc acquired by Alterian Plc

LONDON - July 9th, 2008 - Westchester Associates Limited (www.westchester.co.uk) today announced that it acted for Mediasurface Plc (“Mediasurface) a leading UK web Content Management System (CMS) software and solutions supplier for large enterprises with a strong international presence. Mediasurface has been acquired by Alterian Plc (www.alterian.com) Alterian is a leading international provider of enterprise management software with its headquarters in Bristol, UK but with a significant proportion of its operations in North America. It employs over 130 staff in the United Kingdom and North America. On 16th May, the date the offer was made, this valued Mediasurface at approximately £18.1 million.

Commenting on the Offer, Michael Jackson, Chairman of Mediasurface, said: “This transaction represents a natural fit, both in terms of products and geography, and I look forward to the combined company enjoying considerable future success.
